2020 Father's Day Tournament

We will again be using play back brackets with no pool play.  This means a team can lose their first 2 game and still have a chance to win the tournament.  While this bracket style is unique can ensures every game counts.

We are operating with the full support of the City of East Peoria and will be adhering to their guidelines.  Aligned with this we will be implementing several rules to protect the health and safety of everyone involved and will be asking each of you to help by communicating and self enforcing with your players and spectators.  In addition to these rules we will also be asking each team to return a printed copy of the attached waiver with signatures of a legal guardian for each of our players.  This will be required in order to play.

  • Games will have a 1.5 hour time limit with games scheduled 2 hours apart.  Games will start on-time.  They will not start early.

  • No teams are to enter the facility more than 30 minutes prior to their scheduled game time.  Please do what you can to allow the existing team and their fans to leave the field and surrounding area prior to entering the outside field area.  We will be disinfecting dugouts in between games.  Please do not enter the field until you are instructed to do so.

  • Teams and fans must leave the field as quickly as possible upon the game ending.  Please hold any post team meetings off and away from the field area.

  • If you have a break between games we ask that your teams exit the main parts of the facility.  There are surrounding green spaces, soccer fields, and parking lots available.

  • Pre game meetings for rules discussion and coin flips will be limited to the umpires and coaches. NO players.  There will be no handshakes and ask you to keep at least a 6 foot distance.

  • We ask that no more than 4 players be in the dugout at 1 time.  We will have a designated area outside the fence for the other players.  We suggest your players bring chairs and sit a minimum 6 feet apart.

  • We will provide hand sanitizer in the dugouts.  Please have your players sanitize their hands between innings and before and after the game.

  • Please limit the sharing of helmets, bats, and catching gear as much as possible.

  • There will be no post game "line handshakes".  We ask that the teams line up on the baseline corresponding to their dugout and tip their hats to the opposing team after each game.

  • Please avoid contact between players and coaches as much as possible.  Avoid high fives and handshakes.

  • Please practice social distancing of 6 feet during mound visits as best possible.

  • All spectators should social distance a minimum 6 feet part (with exception of the same household).  There are extensive areas down each baseline and in the outfield that provide great views of the games. If you see your spectators not following this rule, we greatly appreciate it if you would kindly ask them to do so.
