Concern or Issue?
It's important to remember that 100% of East Peoria Community Baseball is organized and run by volunteers who are doing everyting possible to make participation in the organization a positive experience for everyone. However, it's inevitable that at some point during the season a few parents will have a concern or issue of one sort or another. When these situtations occur we ask that you consider the following:
Respect the challenges the board members and coaches face and time commitment they make. Understand that coaching isn’t easy. It’s a significant contribution of time and energy, often with the side effect of stress.
Schedule a time with the coach to calmly and constructively discuss concerns rather than during, immediately before or after a practice or game. Instead of complaining publicly, be part of the solution by scheduling a private time to discuss your concerns.
Refrain from making public complaints about the organization, coaching, or other players with parents.
Offer to help as a volunteer. The success of this organization is run on the contributions of volunteers.
Do everything within your control to make this a positive experience for your child, other players, families and coaches. Do your part to contribute to this baseball family!
If you are unable to resolve your concern or issue with the coach, the next step is to contact your league commissioner. Contact information for league commissioners can be found here.
Our program wouldn't exist without volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering to help the board or by being a coach or assistant coach please contact a board member or click here.
